I recently realized I was approaching middle age and saying "Someday I'm going to tell stories for a living" wasn't going to happen unless I decided to start taking steps. My quest for webcomicking knowledge lead me to Jason's podcast which lead me to reMIND which lead me here.

I'm developing a fusion genre webcomic (which I plan to debut in about 6 weeks) called The Legendary Sisters of the Laughing Doggebi as well as the occasional panel pages commission.

My name is Morgan Myers, but my family has always called me Mojo, so I thought it would serve as a good username. I am currently a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in Sequential Art in Georgia. Also, these past few years I have been developing an epic graphic novel called Mid-Evil, which is currently going through a hiatus at the moment. My ultimate dream is to get this story finished and officially published...perhaps even turn it into an animated series? Oh well. That's going to simply stay wishful thinking for now I guess...

I'm a couple of years too late to the game, it seems, but my name is Cameron Hocker and I just started making a graphic novel and came across this website via stumbleupon.com a couple of days after the creative juices started flowing. Fate seems to be smiling at me with this endeavor. I live in Albuquerque, NM. I have never attempted a project of this scale before but I am very excited. I have already decided on the main plot and have drawn up some rough concepts and drafts. Anyways, I'm glad to have found this website and look forward to exploring all it has to offer.

I suck. Not so much at Art, but at getting anything done. For ten years now, I have know too any people personally who have had success at art, just by getting something done. Thus, I've concluded that I am a stronger writer and am working on projects that will have more prose than panels. Hopefully, when my first project comes out, an artist with the right style and personal character decides to team up with me.

My name is Myron. No fancy screen names, I can never remember them.

I was on deployment with the Asutralian Military overseas last year and decided that instead of doing portraits for soldiers for practically nothing I would have a crack at producing a graphic novel. I just wanted to be remembered for something, for creating something. It just hit me one day. I would have reached the end of my days and for my talents have nothing to show.

I have read very few graphic novels aside from the works of Masamune Shirow and maybe a little bit of Battle Angel Alita, all very old stuff. I have hence been slowly tapping away at my own novel for the past 11 months now and am in 50 pages deep.
I'm just not sure how to sell or market it.

About a week ago I decided to try and look up a forum and found yours. I wish I had done this a year ago! After persuing this site it is obviouse there is so much to learn and some exceptionally talented people on here.

I've been reading Jason's WordPress for a little while and have always wanted to make a graphic novel at some point in my life. I haven't drawn comics at all but drew and painted as long as I can remember. I had some time this summer and took a class in comic art. I hoped it would initiate a spark to create a graphic novel and having completed a few pages I am interested to do more. So I just want introduce myself on this board and see how everyone else is making out .

Hey thanks Myron, There was a few classes around where I live for different kinds of comic and graphic novel art - which I guess are pretty new. The one I took was with a local Eisner award winner and it was extremely beneficial my learning rather than picking it up from books. I'm actually a graphic artist by trade and work on a Cintiq all day, but I just wanted to work with traditional media for this one.
