Post Critique these 3 pages?
Hello everyone,

I'm still very very new to making comics even though I grew up with them. A while ago I took part in the "Panels of the week" challenge over on ConceptArt.Org, choosing the theme of a steampunk love story. I originally scripted the story to be 6 pages long but never got around to that... It was all created under considerable time pressure, so it's far from perfect - no time to gather and use references, for example. And of course the pages are sized down considerably, the originals are 166% of what you see here.

I got a few helpful critiques already and I myself can tell about three dozen things that are wrong with it, but more opinions can never hurt. Just whack me over the head with it! (Although maybe there's something I didn't fail at completely...? Haha!)

Thanks in advance for having a look, folks! I hope I'll have more to post next week, I'm working on a 4-pager right now. Working my way up slowly while working out the premises for a proper webcomic...

Hm, I wonder why it didn't work - might have been the host site, I hadn't used that one before. Can you see the pictures now?

These are great. My only concern with them is the lack of shadows and contrast. Are you planning on coloring these pages or doing some kind of tone work?

The style and aesthetic remind of "Return of the Dapper Men." I'd read more.

If I were laying it out, I'd move the first panel of page two, to the bottom of page one. It's a bit weird to read when a scene is ended on the beginning of a page.
