Post First Moebius, now Sendak
Maurice Sendak has died at age 83. What a bummer. The art world really has a lot of slack to pick up this year.

Ralph McQuarrie recently died as well.

I think all three were retired, though... so the slack was already there.

Moebius never retired. He kept drawing all the time. Not sure how he managed with the cancer and old age...

I wonder if the film (Where The Wild Things Are) would have been made if he hadn't approved it... it was only three years ago. This could have played very differently.
