I agree, this is a distinctive style! Quite a breath of fresh air, and I like your coloring...

Thank you so much! I think we all hope to have a distinct style. For me, I guess I just developed it out of necessity ^_^ I hand draw all the line art than I color everything in Photoshop, however I don't own a wycom pen so i had to go with a really angular look for the color shading and I'm so relieved you guys are digging it! I also color everything in very bright vibrant colors than I tone it down for the production pages.
Thanks again for checking it out!

Well your lineart is quite edgy, so the coloring style befits it! It would have looked weird if it were softer or more realistic, and in any case I'm getting tired of hyper rendering

Re: The Kingdom Comic Book - by Jason Bienvenu
So you're coloring with a mouse? Yikes. I don't miss coloring like that. I remember my hand hurt like hell from all the clicking. Bah. But like Cedarseed noted, the angular coloring makes a lot of sense with your style, so I guess you lucked out on not having a tablet, somehow? Ha. I really like the last page you posted - with the crocodile (or whatever that monstrous thing is) - but good job all around!
The font in the first page here, first panel, is too small. It works fine in the second page, so enlarging it a bit will probably solve that. Spelling mistake on the third page, last panel - it should be YOU'RE, not YOUR. You should probably let someone go over everything before you print it or whatever. I always find mistakes in my lettering only after reading it like ten times. I also send it to someone else to check because you really never know, it's too easy to miss these things.

Thanks Man! I'm glad you pointed out the small font size I hadn't realized it ^_^ I'll def have it spell check ha! Glad your digging it, I had a lot of fun making all these pages and that last one with the Croc called "dragon" was a bit of a challenge so I really happy you liked that one!

I agree, very cool style and I like the colors as well. Always been a fan of a limited color pallet.

This image is of pages 10 & 11 entitled “A dark vision” Also we have the first 2 issues printing and shipping this Tuesday Jan the 31st! yay this includes the character cards and posters for the backer rewards. I am working very hard in order to get as much of Issue number 3 completed before my wife and I’s little bundle of joy arrives, which can literally be any day now! Woo Hoo!...I like this > ! if you haven’t noticed lol. Anyway thank you guys so much for your patience I can’t wait to share these first 2 issues with all of you, have a great week.

Sheesh, man. I can only repeat what the others have said. I love your color sense and the sense of texture that you get. These are really nice pages. Pro level stuff, man.

Re: The Kingdom Comic Book - by Jason Bienvenu
The first two issues of the comic books have arrived and I must say that it is a real thrill to finally have them in hand. This is a very limited run for the Kickstarter backers; however I do have a very limited amount leftover if anyone is interested. They issues run $2.99 each The street date for this isn’t until later on in the year so if you are interested the actual production prints will be starting in May. I hope you guys dig em! Thanks for the support! Jason Spotlight Hey Guys I want to let you guys know about another great project from my buds Travis Earls and Brian Wolf called TERMINUS, this is such fun idea and the artwork is fantastic! Do yourselves a favor and check it out! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/193 ... 1?ref=live

Thanks Steve!
I feel like a just slayed a Dragon! But all the hard work and effort was worth, in the hot off the press thread when the production runs start.

Finished up the line art for the thirst issue! I'll be spending the next few weeks coloring the remaining line art pages 13-22. Also I am uploading a preview of issue numbers work in progress cover.

The "Crack" there on this latest image kinda crystalized this for me, but you do an incredibly good job of making your word balloons and sound effects feel like they belong in this world. I think a lot of creators overlook this, or don't realize how much of a difference it can make.
